EA anticheat will shut down the game and our services if you use cheat tools, debuggers, or other conflicting software. Turning off or uninstalling conflicting software can help you get back in the game.

Ok I think I solved it, by doing this. I ran Cleanup.exe in the anticheat folder, then launched the Anti Cheat Launcher and selected FIFA 23 from the drop down and clicked Uninstall. Then I ran the Anti Cheat .exe and it prompted me that I needed to install, so I clicked the install button and waited then closed, and then it auto launched and the game launched.

Lots of players on PC wanting to jump into the Ultimate Edition are running into the FIFA 23 EA Anti Cheat error message, which frustratingly prevents you from starting the game. As this is the first FIFA title with a sophisticated kernel-level anti cheat, early access players are unfortunately facing the brunt of problems that will hopefully be ironed out in the future. However, there is thankfully a fix to the FIFA 23 EA Anti Cheat error, so make sure to read the rest of this guide to find out the solution.

This is obviously a frustrating error to encounter, as it will most likely happen when you first boot up the game, and gives you no indication of the cause of the error. While it is not exactly clear on our end either, it is likely due to the fact that EA Anti Cheat is kernel-level, and therefore requires additional permissions and implementation than your standard anti cheat program.

Search for the EA anti cheat folder then launch EAAntiCheat.Installer.exe, wait a second then close it. Then, right-click and delete EAAntiCheat.Installer.exe and launch FIFA 23 from your desired platform. This will force reinstall anti cheat and should hopefully get you past the errors.

The EA Fifa 23 anti-cheat error might occur when FIFA 23 is offline for maintenance or experiencing technical difficulties. So, checking the server status before attempting any additional fixes would be wise.

EA anti-cheat is a kernel-mode anti-cheat and anti-tamper solution developed in-house at Electronic Arts. PC cheat developers have increasingly moved into the kernel, so we need to have kernel-mode protections to ensure fair play and tackle PC cheat developers on an even playing field.

As tech-inclined video gamers ourselves, it is important to us to make sure that any kernel anti-cheat included in our games acts with a strong focus on the privacy and security of our gamers that use a PC.

This varies on a game-by-game basis. For games that are highly competitive and contain many online modes like FIFA 23, kernel-mode protection is absolutely vital. When cheat programs operate in kernel space, they can make their cheat functionally invisible to anti-cheat solutions that live in user-mode. Unfortunately, the last few years have seen a large increase in cheats and cheat techniques operating in kernel-mode, so the only reliable way to detect and block these is to have our anti-cheat operate there as well.

Cheat developers use single player game modes to reverse-engineer a game, or experiment with tampered game files to help them develop a cheat then bring those alterations back into online multiplayer game modes. In addition to preventing active cheating during online play, EA anticheat also prevents cheat developers from using single player modes in these ways. Protecting single player game modes is necessary to hamper cheat development.

For the information that EA anticheat does collect, we strive to maintain privacy where possible through a cryptographic process called hashing to create unique identifiers and discard the original information.

Following a similar move by Activision Blizzard last year, EA has unveiled EA AntiCheat (EAAC), a new internally developed kernel-level anti-cheat system that'll initially be rolling out with the launch of FIFA 23 on PC this autumn.

Announcing EAAC - which is officially described as a "kernel-mode anti-cheat and anti-tamper solution" - in a new blog post, the publisher explained, "PC cheat developers have increasingly moved into the kernel, so we need to have kernel-mode protections to ensure fair play and tackle PC cheat developers on an even playing field."

The remainder of the publisher's announcement post aims to address any concerns players might have around its new technology, insisting that EAAC will have "negligible impact" on gameplay when used, and that the system will only be active while games requiring EAAC are running. It also claims to have "limited the information" its anti-cheat technology collects and that it "does not gather any information about your browsing history, applications that are not connected to EA games, or anything that is not directly related to anti-cheat protection."

The publisher also notes that not all of its games will make use of EAAC, citing single-player games and titles without competitive ladders or leaderboards as areas where "the cheat landscape differs". In these instances, it says it may either use other anti-cheat technology or forego using anti-cheat technology altogether.

There's no word on where EA maybe considering deploying its EAAC after the launch of FIFA 23, but given it describes third-party anti-cheat solutions as "[preventing] us from implementing additional privacy controls or customisations that provide greater accuracy and granularity", it seems likely it's planning to introduce EAAC across its entire multiplayer portfolio (the likes of Battlefield and Apex Legends 2042 currently use Easy Anti-Cheat) in due course.

A worrying trend though, with more and more anti-cheat going kernel-side which is almost always developed just for Windows. It's problematic for another reason though, like the recent issue with Genshin Impact where the anti-cheat driver was abused to disable anti-virus.

EA Anti-Cheat is known to be very strict when it comes to vetting other debugging software on PC. Many have reported that other anti-cheat programs might be in conflict with EA's software. Even proprietary software by reliable vendors appears to be causing errors.

EA is cracking down on cheaters with the launch of a new anti-cheat and anti-tamper solution. Coming first to FIFA 23 on PC, EA AntiCheat (EAAC) is a kernel-mode system that will make it virtually impossible for cheat techniques to infiltrate.

Electronic Arts is determined to keep cheaters at bay. The company has developed a kernel-level anti-cheat system for PC that it will deploy alongside FIFA 23 when the game arrives on September 30th. According to the publisher, the move was necessary to "ensure fair play" by taking on PC cheat developers who are increasingly building kernel-level exploits that OS-level anti-cheat tools are unable to detect.

In a blog post, EA's senior director of game security and anti-cheat Elise Murphy wrote that the company created EA AntiCheat (EAAC) because "third-party anti-cheat solutions are often opaque to our teams, and prevent us from implementing additional privacy controls or customizations that provide greater accuracy and granularity for EA-specific game modes." It should also be able to address security issues head on.

EAAC won't be used in all EA games, though the publisher says it's necessary for competitive titles with an online focus, such as FIFA 23. This year's edition includes cross-play support and, in theory, EAAC should prevent console players from having to deal with PC cheaters. The company may take different anti-cheat approaches in games without leaderboards or a competitive system. As such, it wouldn't be a surprise to see EA add EAAC to the likes of Apex Legends, but it seems unlikely to be patched in to the 2021 Game of the Year (don't take my word for it) It Takes Two.

As far as system privacy and security goes, Murphy says that EAAC will only examine the files it needs to for anti-cheat reasons. EAAC will hash the information that it does collect and jettison the original data. The tool won't collect data from your browsing history, apps that don't interact with EA games or anything else that's irrelevant to its purposes, according to the blog post.

Players of Fifa 23 have reported an error with AntiCheat. It disallows players to run the game or even update the game. Since Fifa 23 is in a Pre-Launch state, it is expected to foresee such errors. This error could be caused due to an unstable game installation or a corrupt installation of the EAanticheat.

Cheating is something that developers and publishers have been trying to combat since the dawn of gaming. There are various measures in place in modern games, like Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC), BattlEye, and Valve Anti-Cheat (VAC), and their efficacy is always up for debate. EA has decided that the current measures are not enough and has made its own anti-cheat system which is making its debut with the release of FIFA 23.
